Pearson Edexcel Level 1/Level 2 Animal Care

Turn your passion for animals into a recognised qualification with the Pearson Edexcel Level 1/Level 2 Animal Care course. Designed for learners aged 14–16, this practical and engaging programme combines classroom learning with invaluable hands-on experience at The Meadows Wildlife Park.

Over the course of 20 practical sessions, students will work with a variety of animals while developing the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to care for them responsibly. Learners will gain experience in safe animal handling, understanding animal behaviour, maintaining health and welfare, preparing suitable environments, feeding and nutrition, hygiene procedures, and recognising the importance of meeting animals’ physical and behavioural needs.
