Big Adventures for Little Explorers
Introduce your little one to the magic of nature with Little Hatchlings, a fun, hands-on outdoor learning group for children aged 3–7 years, accompanied by a parent or carer, led by our Outdoor Learning Lead, Charlotte.
Held at The Meadows Wildlife Park, each monthly session encourages young learners to explore the natural world through stories, crafts, games and unforgettable animal encounters.
Every session follows a seasonal theme, giving children the opportunity to discover wildlife, meet amazing animals and develop a love of learning through play and exploration.
What to expect
Throughout the year, Little Hatchlings will:
- Meet and learn about a variety of animals from around the world.
- Explore nature through woodland walks, sensory activities and seasonal discoveries.
- Enjoy interactive stories inspired by wildlife and the natural world.
- Create fun crafts using natural and recycled materials.
- Take part in games, treasure hunts and hands-on activities.
- Discover mini-beasts, habitats and changing seasons.
- Develop confidence, communication and curiosity through play-based learning.
- Make new friends in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Every session is designed to encourage children to ask questions, explore their surroundings and build a lifelong appreciation for animals and nature.
