Cambridge IGCSE Marine Science is an engaging and forward-looking subject that introduces students to the dynamic world of oceans, coastal ecosystems, and human impact on marine environments. Designed as a one-year programme, our course combines ten 1.5-hour theoretical sessions at the centre—supported by structured resources and independent study tasks—with four extended 3-hour practical sessions, where students will apply their knowledge through hands-on investigation (location to be confirmed). Throughout the course, learners will explore topics such as marine biodiversity, ocean processes, conservation, and sustainable use of resources, building both scientific understanding and real-world awareness. This subject is particularly valuable for teenagers as it develops critical thinking, environmental responsibility, and practical scientific skills, while also inspiring curiosity about global challenges like climate change and ocean conservation. It is an excellent choice for students interested in science, geography, or environmental studies, and provides a strong foundation for further academic study or careers related to marine and environmental sciences.
The cost would be £650 including the exam spread over 10 months at £65 per month. (Access Arrangements if required have an additional £50 administration fee)
