Discover the exciting world of game development by creating your own retro-style games using PICO-8<\/strong>, a beginner-friendly fantasy games console designed to teach coding through creativity. In a friendly and supportive environment, you’ll learn how games are made by designing characters, creating movement, detecting collisions and bringing your own ideas to life.<\/p>\n

No previous coding experience is needed. Programming concepts such as variables, functions, conditions and coordinates are introduced naturally through hands-on game-building activities, making coding fun, engaging and easy to understand. Sessions are led by experienced developer and educator Andre Gapper<\/strong>, who will guide learners through each stage, offering support, encouragement and practical tips along the way.<\/p>\n

By the end of the course, learners will have created their own playable game, developed a strong understanding of the fundamentals of game programming and gained the confidence to continue exploring coding and game development.<\/p>\n
