Roedden ni&#039;n credu ein bod ni&#039;n gwneud gwahaniaeth\u2014ac mewn llawer o achosion, roedden ni. Ond dim ond pan ddaeth ein plant ein hunain i&#039;r ysgol uwchradd y gwnaeth maint llawn y r\u00f4l daro ein hunain yn wirioneddol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yn sydyn, roedden ni&#039;n ei weld nid o flaen yr ystafell ddosbarth, ond o&#039;r bwrdd cinio. Gwylion ni&#039;r llawenydd neu&#039;r ofn a ddaeth ein plant adref, wedi&#039;i gysylltu nid yn unig \u00e2 phynciau neu gyd-ddisgyblion, ond \u00e2&#039;r oedolion a ymddiriedwyd i&#039;w harwain. Roedd yn alwad deffro. Oherwydd nid yn unig yw&#039;r hyn sy&#039;n digwydd mewn ysgolion - mae&#039;n ddynol iawn. Ac i rai plant, eu hathro yw&#039;r oedolyn mwyaf cyson a sefydlog yn eu bywydau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nid yw&#039;r erthygl hon yma i atgoffa&#039;n ysgafn, ond i annog yn gadarn: athrawon, peidiwch \u00e2 thanbrisio eich effaith.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mwy na Swydd<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nid proffesiwn yn unig yw addysgu; mae&#039;n swydd o ddylanwad dwfn. Mae gan bob gair, pob ochenaid, pob rholio llygaid neu lais uchel y p\u0175er i godi neu falu. Mae&#039;n hawdd, yn enwedig o dan bwysau gwaith papur diddiwedd, targedau perfformiad, a newidiadau polisi, colli golwg ar hynny. Yn rhy aml, mae&#039;r system addysg fodern yn lleihau plant i bwyntiau data, ac athrawon i ddarparwyr canlyniadau. Ond ni allwn adael i fusnes yr ysgol guddio busnes gofal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pan oedden ni ein hunain yn ddisgyblion, doedden ni ddim yn cofio pob cynllun gwers. Roedden ni&#039;n cofio eiliadau. Roedden ni&#039;n cofio&#039;r athro a wnaeth i ni deimlo ein bod ni&#039;n cael ein gweld, ein gwerthfawrogi, a&#039;n ddiogel\u2014ac roedden ni hefyd yn cofio&#039;r un a&#039;n bychanodd, a&#039;n diystyriodd, neu a wnaeth yr ysgol yn lle roedden ni&#039;n ei ofni. Gall yr \u00f4l-tro hwnnw bara am oes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Y P\u0175er sydd gennych<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nid dysgwyr yn unig yw&#039;r myfyrwyr sy&#039;n eistedd o&#039;ch blaen; maen nhw&#039;n datblygu hunaniaethau, yn ffurfio barn amdanyn nhw eu hunain a&#039;r byd. Pan fydd athro&#039;n dweud \u201cRwyt ti&#039;n dda am wneud hyn,\u201d mae person ifanc yn dechrau credu eu bod nhw. Pan fydd athro&#039;n dweud \u201cFyddi di byth yn llwyddo,\u201d gall person ifanc gario&#039;r amheuaeth honno am flynyddoedd. Efallai mai chi yw un o&#039;r ychydig oedolion yn eu bywyd sy&#039;n eu trin \u00e2 pharch a disgwyliad cyson\u2014ac mae hynny&#039;n bwysig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rydym wedi gweld, dro ar \u00f4l tro, y ffordd y mae athrawon yn llunio naratifau mewnol eu myfyrwyr. Weithiau gyda sylw tawel, weithiau gyda safiad cadarn, weithiau dim ond trwy ymddangos bob dydd a gwrando. Nid r\u00f4l yn unig yw honno\u2014mae&#039;n gyfrifoldeb. Un na allwn fforddio ei gymryd yn ysgafn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Galwad i Gofio<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rydyn ni&#039;n gwybod bod addysgu yn anodd. Rydyn ni&#039;n gwybod bod y system yn ddiffygiol. Rydyn ni&#039;n gwybod bod y pwysau&#039;n aruthrol. Ond rydyn ni hefyd yn gwybod hyn: bob dydd rydych chi&#039;n cerdded i mewn i ystafell ddosbarth, rydych chi&#039;n cario&#039;r potensial i newid trywydd bywyd plentyn. Nid baich yw hynny - mae&#039;n rhodd. Ond dim ond os dewiswch ei ddefnyddio&#039;n ddoeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Felly, i&#039;n cyd-addysgwyr: peidiwch \u00e2 cholli golwg ar faint yr hyn rydych chi&#039;n ei wneud. Peidiwch \u00e2 gadael i derfynau amser, arolygiadau, na gwaith gweinyddol dynnu enaid eich addysgu oddi arni. Ymladdwch i gofio&#039;r wynebau y tu \u00f4l i&#039;r data. Siaradwch \u00e2 charedigrwydd, heriwch \u00e2 thrugaredd, a pheidiwch byth ag anghofio p\u0175er bod yn gyson ym mywyd plentyn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Oherwydd un diwrnod, bydd y plentyn hwnnw&#039;n eich cofio chi.
